People Magazine
I just read an article in People about the next few folks to get fired for writing in their online journals about work.
I guess in this political climate there is something sacred about business and folks aren't allowed to tell it like it is, to vent their frustrations and generally bitch about work.
I'm going to start up this blog as a safe place for people to get their work bitch on.
Have at it.

My job sux because for every employee there is a manager that does nothing but bug the shit out of the employee. They promise you a bonus when they hire you or during salary review but when it comes time for the bonus they find ways of making sure you don't 'qualify'. Then the bosses drive to work in their new BMW SUVs. There's no way to get ahead no matter how long or hard i work. (at least 59 hrs a week salary not hourly.) I've tried to get a new job but the market is pisspoor and for every resume I send out there's 300 others for the same position on the recruiter's desk.
My job is pure evil.
That is all.
My husband's CEO is mentally unbalanced, but the parent company is in Europe and they don't visit the US company very often, so nutjob manages to maintain power and control over his employees while being certifiably insane.
I'd love to post just some of the things he's done to his employees, but they are so uniquely horrid, he might recognize himself here and blow up this blog.
Hey kids as moderator I have to say: Thanks for adding to my new blog already. I guess I sort of expected it to be peppered with a comment here and there...just not so soon!
I'm delighted. I hope it helps you to feel better and perhaps we can offer each other some advice too.
Anon #1: Sorry for your situation. It sounds sucky but I know that nothing in life ever stays the same, so this too shall pass. Meanwhile, make sure you put out resume's all over, even within your current company. You never know! I belive the world rewards people that put "it" out there with action!
Anon #2: I hear you, dude.
Disgruntled: Working with a nut job can really suck but perhaps hubby can play on his mental weakness and mess with his head, at least for fun...you know...rearrange his paperwork when he's not in the office...take the screws out of his office chair, put a frog in his desk and ...well...I'm being silly, but perhaps within the ridiculous there lies a nugget of truth?
To hell with big brother! What has he done for you lately?
My boss can be a real jerk sometimes. I'm self employed.
Mr Happy, you're fatuous! But I love that about you!
BTW: I adore your cowboy style. I'm really digging it's retro campy gene autryishness. I am really into line drawings and simplicity.
You picked a great avatar.
Cheers, Mr. Happy!

A big FUCK YOU to the patient that came for her first visit and emailed the next day stating that the treatment left her neck and shoulders really sore.
Beotch, perhaps the acupuncture did in fact tork your neck, or maybe it was the fact that the day you were treated was scorching, and you were in and out of the A/C all day. Or maybe you slept in front of the air conditioner or had a fan on, it was certainly hot enough that night to warrant their use.
Thank you Lauren, for letting me rant.
Thank you for setting this site up! I work 2 jobs and am happy to "work" the system. I cant tell you how disfunctional the "system" is at the day job. it is an onion of managers and the communication has to pass thru each one of them to get anything done.
Withh all the bull that goes on I'm still happy to go to work. This is the first time in my life I dont want to run away from work. Go figure.

I am my own boss and still I have complaints.
Just stopping by to check on my buddies here at the rant. You guys need big hugs and a nice cuppa whatever you like.
Relax. Civil liberties are alive and well at least here.
Smootchies!
Wow... some people have some issues. Sure, it's great to rant a litte, but can anyone say 'anger management'?
